The project began when Alexandria needed to come up with an idea for her final photo story for her photojournalism class. I suggested an idea for her to do something with profiling artists, a project idea I got from a presentation given in my photography class, and from there we took off with the idea. We each had our certain roles. She found the artists to be profiled, scheduled times to shoot, shot and toned the pictures, and wrote captions to go along with each image. My role was to assist her during shoots when needed, and when she was finished with the photos and captions, I took her work and organized it into a book layout, which involved designing the cover and spread layouts. I also added some copy to the book version of the project.
